Present a synthesis of the findings of the Site Inventory and Analysis; the 'Components of the <br />Streetscape' and approach to streetscape design (see Section 6), and lead a discussion about <br />potential to incorporate these ideas in the conceptual design for the 2000 and 2600 blocks of <br />Broadway. <br />2. Use a graphic 'Choosing by Advantage Matrix', and lead a discussion of the pros and cons of <br />features and aspects to consider in the preliminary conceptual designs and work with City Staff to <br />refine the direction for Conceptual Design. <br />Deliverable: <br />1. Meeting <br />2. Meeting Notes <br />SUBTOTAL PHASE 2: $26,410.00 <br />PHASE 3 - PUBLIC SPACE, PUBLIC LIFE WALKSHOP <br />TASK 1— WALKSHOP COST: $16,840.00 <br />Consultant shall: <br />1. Direct Gehl Studio (Urban Design Consultant) to perform the Public Space Public Life Survey (PSPL), a <br />foundational analysis that allows one to understand how Broadway is currently being used and how <br />it does or doesn't support a high quality public life, in fine-grained, spatial detail. <br />2. Direct Gehl Studio to distill key stories from the data collected and provide the design team and <br />public officials with a platform to take action and a clear sense of urgency and opportunity. The PSPL <br />also acts as an engagement and outreach tool that helps stakeholders better understand what is <br />needed to improve the street and the neighborhood. <br />3. Direct Gehl Studio to introduce the PSPL method to City Staff and key stakeholders by conducting a <br />'Walkshop'. The Walkshop will include a tour of key areas along Broadway, a short public space <br />quality assessment, and some targeted public life data collection. <br />4. Direct Gehl to assist in creating a public realm strategy to inform the Concept Design phase for <br />Broadway, based on the preliminary public space quality assessment. <br />Deliverable: <br />1.
