· A detailed view of the actual work to be performed around the existing
meters, highlighting the areas for separation and point of connection
· Standard drawing details
· Standard notes
Task 5.2 - Final Construction Cost Estimate and Schedule
A final estimate of probable cost and a construction schedule will be prepared for each
Site. This cost estimate will include cost of materials, labor, and contractor overhead
and profit.
Task 5.3 - Submit Final Design Package to City
A final design submittal will be prepared for each Site. The submittal will contain the
final design package, a final estimate of probable cost and recycled water demand, a
final construction schedule, and a checklist for the City to use in its review of the
submittal. Three (3) copies of the submittal will be submitted to City staff for review and
approval. One copy will be returned with review comments to Consultant.
Task 6 - Design Package Approval Coordination
Task 6.1 - City Approval
Consultant will provide an original set of drawings to the City for signature. Once the
City has approved and signed the drawings, they will be returned to the Consultant to
be stamped and signed by a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of
California. Consultant will convert the fully signed drawings into digital format to be
posted on the Project Portal (developed under separate contract).
Task 6.2 - DHS Approval
Submit three (3) copies of stamped, signed Final Design Drawings to DHS on behalf of
the City. The assumption is that the City will self monitor the retrofits under the DHS
General Permit Guidelines and that each design package will be approved or accepted
with the first submittal, with possible corrections noted. Resubmittals and revisions due
to DHS comments are not included in this work effort or scope. Once DHS acceptance
or signature is obtained, the design package is considered complete and ready for
bidding and construction.
Task 7 - Bidding Services
The engineering labor effort for bidding services is developed for one "Group Bid"
package that will be comprised of customer sites selected by the City. The engineering
and support labor effort to execute the group 1 or subsequent group bids is estimated
to be 56 hours.
Task 7.1 - Prepare strategy and criteria for grouping sites into bid packages
Agreement over $10K 22
KennedyJenks Rev-2 112603
