<br /> Consultant will establish the strategic approach and criteria for grouping individual <br /> customer site designs into discreet bid packages over time, and as site designs are <br /> approved. The City's Engineering and Construction division will oversee the bid and <br /> award process. It is anticipated that multiple retrofit bid packages will be issued by the <br /> City over the duration of the Project. <br /> Task 7.2 - Prepare Contract Documents for Group 1 Bid <br /> Consultant will edit and prepare City Contract Documents, bid forms, general and <br /> supplemental conditions and combined these documents with each site retrofit design <br /> to be included in Group 1 Bid. When project is complete and all construction <br /> documents are approved and ready for bidding, consultant shall prepare and deliver to <br /> the City one (1) camera ready set of contract documents and plan sets. The City will <br /> provide the reproduction resources. <br /> Task 7.3 - Group 1 Bid Support <br /> Provide support during the Group 1 bid period including responding to contract <br /> questions, preparing addenda, coordinating and attending one pre-bid meeting, and <br /> evaluating the bid result. Provide to the City a recommendation for award. <br /> Advertisement, bid document production and the bid opening will be provided by the <br /> City. <br /> Task 8 - Construction Management Services <br /> Provide office engineering support and construction observation and management <br /> services during the retrofit construction period. <br /> Task 8.1 - Construction Engineering Support <br /> Services shall include review of shop drawings and responses to requests for <br /> information and clarification. Consultant shall provide design services, if needed during <br /> construction for change order related work. These services may including preparation <br /> of drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. It is anticipated that 108 engineering <br /> labor hours will be required per Group Bid for Construction Engineering Support. <br /> Task 8.2 - Construction Observation Services <br /> Visit the Project sites to observe construction at critical points, discuss with Contractor <br /> the correction of any defects, and make recommendations as to replacement or <br /> correction of defective work. It is anticipated that construction observation will be <br /> performed on a part time basis, depending upon the complexity of the retrofit and <br /> customer related issues. It is anticipated that 24 construction observation labor hours <br /> will be required per site. <br /> Task 8.3 - Construction Management <br /> Receive and review all certificates of inspections, tests and approvals.
