The independent evaluation <br /> does not constitute certification of inspections, only that they conform to contract <br /> documents. <br /> Assist the City in coordinating and scheduling the startup and for refining and adjusting <br /> the system or equipment. Upon completion of the individual site Retrofits, Consultant <br /> shall advise City in writing that the Retrofit has been completed in accordance with the <br /> construction contract documents and any changes thereto, in accordance with all <br /> applicable codes, ordinances and regulations. Review contractor's submittals for <br /> measurement and payment of work, and recommendation to the City for payment on a <br /> monthly basis during construction. <br /> It is anticipated that 214 labor hours will be required for Construction Management <br /> Services for the Group 1 Bid. <br /> Task 8.4 - Cross-Connection Testing and Conversion <br /> Consultant shall provide oversight during the cross-connection tests. These tests will be <br /> conducted by the contractor and performed before connecting the Customer's recycled <br /> water system to the Water Utility's recycled water system at any use-site where both <br /> recycled and potable water are present. It is anticipated that 3 labor hours per site will <br /> be required for Cross-Connection Testing and Conversion. <br /> Task 8.5 - Coordinate Final Inspections and Contract Close-out <br /> Consultant will coordinate with the Program to conduct a final on-site inspection to <br /> satisfy State DHS requirements. This inspection will be coordinated with the final cross- <br /> connection test and will cover the following: <br /> · Check for use of proper equipment for retrofit installation <br /> · Placement of all required tags, labels and signs <br /> · Check for runoff or windblown spray outside the approved use area <br /> · Check for ponding of recycled water within the use area <br /> · Check spray patterns for encroachment on public facilities <br /> It is anticipated that three labor hours will be required for final inspections and close out <br /> for each site. <br /> Task 9 - Customer Site Supervisor Training <br /> Consultant shall assist City in conducting a formal training program for Customer Site <br /> Supervisors prior to the scheduled retrofit start-up date. The training program will need <br /> to fulfill the requirements of the Discharge Permit for Water Recycling and the California <br /> Department of Health Services requirements.
