Fold -down seats in accessible shower stalls shall be permitted to protrude into the <br />30 inch (762 mm) circle. The center of the 30 inch circle shall be no more than 30 inches <br />from the shower controls. The 30 inch circle shall be measure from the finished wall to the <br />center of the dam or to the interior of the door, whichever is greater. <br />Exceptions: <br />(1) Showers that are designed to comply with Chapter 11A of the California Building <br />Code. <br />(2) The minimum required area and dimension shall not apply for a shower receptor <br />having overall dimensions of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width and 60 <br />inches (1524 mm) in length. <br />(3) [HCD 1 -AC] Specific requirements regarding accommodations for persons with <br />disabilities are contained in Chapter 11A of the California Building Code. <br />Sec. 9.77. SECTION 604.14 OF THE PLUMBING CODE ADDED: Section 604.14 of the <br />Plumbing Code is added to read as follows: <br />604.14. Metallic water piping shall not be used underground in those areas <br />underlain by Younger Bay Mud (see map published by Redwood City Building <br />Division for approximate locations). <br />Sec. 9.78. SECTION 701.8 OF THE PLUMBING CODE ADDED: Section 701.8 of the <br />Plumbing Code is added to read as follows: <br />701.8 Metallic drainage piping shall not be used underground in those areas <br />underlain by Younger Bay Mud (see map published by Redwood City Building <br />Division for approximate locations). <br />Sec. 9.79. SECTION 715.1 OF THE PLUMBING CODE AMENDED: Section 715.1 of <br />the Plumbing Code is amended to read as follows: <br />715.1. The building sewer, beginning two (2) feet (.610mm) from any building or <br />structure, shall be of such materials as prescribed in this Code. Notwithstanding <br />anything to the contrary, metallic sewer piping shall not be used underground in <br />those areas underlain by Younger Bay Mud (see map published by Redwood City <br />Building Division for approximate locations). <br />Sec. 9.80. SECTION 903.1.4 OF THE PLUMBING CODE ADDED: Section 903.1.4 of <br />the Plumbing Code is added to read as follows: <br />903.1.4.
