Garfield 317 acres and Taft 271 acres hereafter referred to collectively as the property The <br />fields will be soccer and youth senior baseball league dimension The fields at Taft will be Little League <br />and youth soccer dimension <br />2 lropertySubiect to License <br />TIds Agreement constitutes a license for a period of at least ten 10 years granted by District to <br />City and County to enter upon and use those portions of the District Property that are necessary for the <br />purpose and subject to the restrictions as specified in this Agreement This license is granted in <br />consideration for the time expended and expenses incurred and to be incurred by the City and County <br />including but not limited to the expenses incurred and to be incurred in connection with the design and <br />establishment of the playing fields and maintenance thereof as set forth below Such license shall <br />become effective upon execution ofthis Agreement and shall thereafter have a term coincident with the <br />term of this Agreement Such license shall be deemed a license coupled with an interest Neither <br />County nor City shall be required to pay additional compensation for such license District will <br />cooperate fully with respect to the design repair restoration establishment mamtenance and <br />scheduling ofthe facdities <br />The license granted hereby does not constitute a deed grant of easement lease or conveyance <br />or transfer of any property interest <br />3 Use of Playing Fields <br />The property may only be used for playing fields and such ancillary activities as are customarily <br />carried out in association with such use <br />4 Design and Establishment oflaying Fields <br />a City shall let out a contract with a landscape archtect to establish a bid package <br />and implement the bidding process pursuant to agreement with the District and the County or their <br />representatives <br />2 <br />6.1.B. - Page 17
