M /S: Stangel /Buchan <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11240 APPROVING APPLICATION FOR�REIMBURSEMENT <br />AGREEMENT, OVERRULING ALL PROTEST, DETERMINING BENEFIT AREA FOR PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO BE FUNDED PURSUANT TO SAID AGREEMENT, APPROVING FORMULA <br />OR FORMULAE FOR APPORTIONMENT OF BENEFITS, DETERMINING EXCESS COSTS <br />REIMBURSABLE UNDER SAID AGREEMENT, SPECIFYING R EIMBURSEMENT CHARGE, AND <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT <br />Adopted by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Buchan, Bury, Claire, La$erge, Stangel and <br />and Mayor Greenalch <br />NOES: Councilman Murray <br />b. M /S: Murray / Stangel <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1124 ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT 1989 -1990 AND LAKEVIEW PRESSURE ZONE <br />PROJECT, DETERMINING LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, REJECTING ALL OTHER <br />BIDS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />CONSTRUCTION, AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID SECURITY UPON EXECUTION OF <br />SAID AGREEMENT <br />Adopted by unanimous roll call vote. <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />a. The following residents addressed the Council and asked the Council to help <br />alleviate the problems associated with recurrent f�ooding in the Centennial <br />Neighborhood: <br />Maile Sweeney, 1889 Lenolt, Redwood City <br />Michael Rivas, 159 G Street, Redwood City <br />George McKibbin, 160 F Street, Redwood City <br />Bill Stewart, 218 G Street, Redwood City <br />Council and staff provided background on GID 1 -65 and its relationship to <br />Cordilleras Creek, longstanding flooding problems in 5th Avenue and <br />Centennial Neighborhoods, joint reports and efforts by San Carlos and <br />Redwood City to offer solutions, the enormous cost's of mitigating flood <br />areas, and County responsibilities in this area. <br />CONSENSUS: It was determined by Mayor Greenalch that it was the consensus <br />of the Council to ask staff to research solutions to the problems of <br />flooding in Centennial Neighborhood and bring suggestions back to Council. <br />Reg.
