period that the school is in session is defined as the school year <br />established by state law and approved by the District Board of Trustees. <br />City shall give District priority in the scheduling of up to twenty (20) <br />school related activities during evening hours and on weekends, provided <br />that District notifies City in writing of such events, and their <br />proposed dates and times, no later than June 30 of each year for the <br />following school year. District shall also be entitled to schedule <br />other events during evening and weekend hours on -the same terms -and -- <br />conditions as other persons or organizations. Notwithstanding the <br />above, District shall have the right to occupy and use the multi-purpose <br />room/community center, at any time, in the event of a natural disaster, <br />or other emergency, when necessary to protect the health, safety and <br />welfare of persons occupying or using school facilities. <br />C. District shall perform, at its sole expense, all routine <br />custodial and maintenance associated with the multi-purpose <br />room/community center as may be required during the time periods that <br />District has exclusive use of the room/center.
