One error to be noted is that the <br />p.m. peak hour should be revised to 4 -6 p.m. Economist Bob Spencer continued with his <br />portion of the report and answered Council questions related to jobs to housing issues and <br />explained the traffic issue as regional. <br />Public Hearing Opened. <br />Kathleen Mahany, Housing and Human Concerns Committee, questioned Mr. Haygood as <br />to which staff was consulted to represent land use and residential impacts. Concern was expressed <br />regarding lack of HHCC involvement and hope that HHCC would be more aggressive in <br />voicing involvement early on. The point was made that the HHCC should be formally <br />involved in the Downtown housing issue. <br />M/S Ira/Hartnett to introduce an ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 18.244 THROUGH <br />18.256 TO CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO <br />ESTABLISH A TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEE FOR NEW DEVELOPMENTS <br />including the revision of peak hours to be 4 -6 p.m. The motion passed by a unanimous roll <br />call vote by those present. <br />Recess — 8:25 -8:35 p.m. <br />C. Adult Oriented Businesses; <br />Mayor Ruskin opened the public hearing. <br />Attorney Roger Jon Diamond, representing Eddie's Bookstore, acknowledged having read <br />the report in its entirety. Mr. Diamond cited efforts willing to be made to mitigate various <br />issues such as security and facade change.
