All the provisions of Sections 47 to 50a of this Charter shall be liberally <br />construed. <br />Section 1499. CO-IMICT WITH OTTM SECTIONS: The provisions of <br />Sections 47 to 50a of this Charter shall supersede and control all other <br />provisions of the Chaster in conflict therewith. To all other extents, the <br />powers, duties, and functions heretofore vested in the Council, or any of <br />the officials, boards, or departments of the City shall be unimpaired. <br />Section 50. PORT AREA: The "Port Area" referred to in Sections 47 <br />to 50a of this Charter shall include all property fronting on Redwood Creole <br />or its tributary streams, or on San Francisco Bay, lying within Township 5 <br />South, Range 3 Rpst/� Monte Diablo meridian, r.�hich is nae;, or may hereafter be, <br />Vit,•@`'". a}^, :, r.. (t A' .tit'. -A ���,� t�"'t.M <br />^owns or possissed by the City of`Redwood City, and such other property as may <br />hereafter be placed within said "Port Area" by the City Council of Redwood <br />City. <br />Section 50a. XIE17DI4117T EFFECTIV I: For the purpose of appointing the <br />members of and organizing the Board, the Amendment shall take effect immediately <br />upon its ratification by the I,egisl�ture; for all other purposes it shall ta>ce <br />effect thirty (30) days thereafter. All lawful ordinances, resolutions, regu— <br />lations, employments, duties and obligations pertainirLc to any of the matters <br />included in Sections 47 to 50a, shall, however, continue in force until the <br />came may be duly amended, repelled or abolished. <br />
