(f`, The proposition or proposal to add to the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City by way of amendment thereof ^ new Section to be <br />numbered Section 53 1/2 to read as follows, to -wit: <br />Section 531,4. ASSESSMENT <br />AND COLLECTION OF TAXES <br />BY COUNTY DISCRETIONARY. <br />Notwithstanding anything in this <br />charter or in any ordinance of the <br />city passed in pursuance thereof, <br />the city council shall have discre- <br />tion to contract or arrange with <br />the County c San Mateo for the <br />purpose of having said county as- <br />sess and cu:lect all city taxes, <br />provided, however, that the City <br />of Redwood City shall as provided <br />in this charter fix the annual tax <br />rate. <br />)o <br />
