<br />public-o•.med docks, piers, wharves, slips and other facilities, and for services
<br />rendered by the Port Departmont for a period not to anconO sixty (60) days.

<br />Commissioners shall have the complete and exclusive power, and it shall be its
<br />duty for ;and on behalf of the City of Red-yood City;
<br />(1) Tc sue ani 8efond in the name of the City of Redwood City in all
<br />actions and proceedings wherein there is involved any matter within the juris-
<br />diction of the Board.
<br />(2) To make provision for the needs of commerce, shipping and naviga-
<br />tion of the port, to promote, d.ovelop, construct, r3construct, alter, ropnir,
<br />maintain, equip and operate all ^ratarfront properties including* piora, aSaervea,
<br />sea walls, docS.s, basing, channels, slips, landin'rl.c, warehouses, flosting and
<br />other plants or works, dredge, and reclaim land, construct, equip and operate
<br />terminal tracka�+n with sidings and turnouts and rsi.lrowl connections bet -.:,eon
<br />(loess, piers and other port structures, and connect the Same pith mainline traoks,
<br />=nd to establish, e;paip sand operate all other facilities or aids incident to the
<br />development, protection and operation of tha port, as may be deemed proper and
<br />desirable in its judg;mont, and it racy modify its plans from time to ti -13 na the
<br />requirements of com¢oreo, shipping and navitation may demand, and .as pert of
<br />such development and operation to provide for tugs, dro04as, fireboats, barr;es,
<br />cold storu;e plants, and all other publicly -owned facilities or applicances,
<br />incident to the operation of the port, of such number and character, ratil in such
<br />pla_cen as the Board r,,,ay doom fo;asible and proper.
<br />(3) To tv)-o charrs of, control -).nd supervise the fort of Rod�rrood City,
<br />including all the ?aterfront proportion, and land adjacent thereto, or under
<br />water, structures thereon, and apnroachos thereto, storarro facilities, -nnd other
<br />faoilitiss, and all rights and interests below iA- thereto, which are now or
<br />may hereafter be omaod or poasessod by the City of Redwood ,ity.
