PHASE 1 (95% DOCUMENTS EXCLUDING SEGMENT F1 TASK 1 — REVIEW DRAWINGS. CALCULATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS 1.1 - Site Reconnaissance Consultant shall conduct a short site visit and view the alignment of the proposed improvements. 1.2 — Review Consultant shall review the following in the design drawings, geotechnical report, structural calculations and specifications: a. Design freeboard — Consultant shall verify that the proposed levee/floodwall meets freeboard requirements and defined in 44 CFR 65.10. The following cases shall be verified: i. The effective FIRMS ii. The preliminary FIRMS iii. Sea Level Rise b. Design alignment closure — Consultant shall verify that the design provides flood protection without the possibility of flanking. c. Design closures — Consultant shall verify that the design meets closure requirements defined in 44 CFR 65.10 for all penetrations of the flood control system. d. Embankment Protection — Consultant shall verify that the erosion protection design can withstand the design base flood/wave conditions. e. Embankment and Foundation Stability Analysis — Consultant shall conduct a high level review of the design to see if the calculation methods meet em ban kment/foundation stability and seepage calculation requirements as defined by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The structural calculations for the CMU floodwalls shall be reviewed at a high level for the governing design case. The Consultant shall review and provide comments on the geotechnical report. The Consultant shall prepare a structural plan check review on behalf of the City for this project including the following: i. Review structural calculation methodologies including stability parameters and verify application to structural drawings. ii. Prepare structural review plan check comments to calculations and drawings. f. Settlement Analysis — Consultant shall verify that the design methodology meets the settlement criteria as defined by the USACE. The geotechnical report shall be reviewed and commented on. g. Interior Analysis — Consultant shall verify that the design meets the interior drainage requirements as defined in 44 CFR 65.10. REV: 01-27-17 PR Page 11 of 15 ATTY/AGR.2017.020ANood Rodgers, Inc.
