In addition, bulb-outs and ADA <br />crosswalk ramps are provided on Diller at Franklin and El Camino Real. In <br />addition, the central lobby entry is recessed to allow for furnishings and plantings <br />which are accessible to the public. <br /> <br />Goal BE-27: Create conditions to improve utilization of existing public transportation <br />services to increase ridership. <br /> <br />- Policy BE-27.5: Require that new development and projects improve access to <br />and accommodations for public transit. <br /> <br />The project provides widened sidewalks and improved crossings on Diller Street, <br />which improves access to the Transit Center and other nearby transit facilities. <br />There are no bus stops on this block. <br /> <br />- Policy BE-27.10: Maintain and improve access and mobility for the mobility <br />impaired population groups such as youth, the disabled, and seniors. <br /> <br />The project provides widened sidewalks and improved crossings on Diller Street <br />with bulb outs and ADA crosswalk ramps. <br /> <br />- Program BE-38: Transportation Impact Fee. Review and, if necessary, update <br />the City’s transportation impact fee program to ensure that funding is provided for <br />necessary transportation improvements that will benefit all travel modes. <br /> <br />The project is subject to the Transportation Impact Fees, to be paid at issuance <br />of building permits and based on the impact fee program at that time. <br /> <br />- Program BE-44: Off‐Street Bicycle and Electric Bicycle/Scooter Parking and <br />Storage Requirements. <br />o Encourage all public off‐street parking facilities, including those owned by <br />Redwood City, San Mateo County, and the San Mateo County Transit District <br />(SamTrans), to set aside areas for aesthetically designed, secure, and <br />convenient bicycle and electric bicycle/scooter parking in strategic and highly <br />visible locations. <br />o Require all new developments and reuse/redevelopment projects to provide safe, <br />secure, and convenient long‐term and short‐term bicycle and electric <br />bicycle/scooter storage facilities and other appropriate amenities. <br /> <br />The project provides bike racks within the sidewalks for the public, and a bike <br />storage locker with 89 stalls for the residents. <br /> <br />- Program BE-52: Parking Demand Analysis. As part of the entitlement process, <br />require large developments to complete a parking demand analysis that accounts <br />8.A. - Page 68
