Metallic piping shall not be used underground in <br /> those areas underlain by younger bay mud (see map <br /> published by Redwood City Building Division for <br /> approximate locations). '" <br /> "Section 9.87. Section 12l2(a) of the Plumbing Code is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "'Section 1212. (a) All pipe used for the <br /> installation, extension, alteration, or repair of any <br /> gas piping shall be standard weight wrought iron or <br /> steel (galvanized or black) , yellow brass (containing <br /> not more than seventy-five (75) percent copper) , or <br /> internally tinned or equivalently treated copper of <br /> iron pipe size. Approved PVC or PE pipe may be used in <br /> exterior buried piping systems. Metallic piping shall <br /> not be used underground in those areas underlain by <br /> younger bay mud (see map published by Redwood City <br /> Building Division for approximate locations).'" <br /> "Section 9.88.
