The impacts of roadside traffic noise and
construction noise shall be reduced to an acceptable level
by incorporating into the Project the mitigation measures
set forth in the draft EIR at pages 103 through 104.
( 6) Energy. Energy impacts shall be reduced to an
acceptable level by incorporating into the Project the
following mitigation measures set forth in the draft EIR at
pages 107 through 108:
- Design the Project with carefully located and
sized materials to increase the thermal mass and
to increase its effectiveness in moderating
temperatures with the buildings. This would
reduce peak cooling demand in warm weather and
reduce peak heating demand in cool weather.
- Install variable air volume Heating, Ventilating,
and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, equipped with
economizer cycles.
- Locate HVAC intake/exhaust vents to make use of
the predominant air flows around the buildings.
- Equip office suites with individual light switches
and fluorescent lights.
4
._-,",,-
