The Project will use less water than
formerly was used by Marine World - Africa U.S.A. , the
former development on the Project land. However, water
impacts discussed in the EIR shall be reduced to an
acceptable level by installing restricted-flow water
fixtures which reduce water consumption and by landscaping
the Project with drought-tolerant native vegetation to
reduce demand for landscaped irrigation as set forth in the
draft EIR at page 127. In addition, the Developer shall
construct on-site water lines in accordance with City
standards.
(10) Wastewater. The wastewater impacts shall be
reduced to an acceptable level by installing restricted-flow
water fixtures which would reduce wastewater generation as
set forth in the draft EIR at page 129. In addition, the
Developer shall construct on-site sewer lines in accordance
with City standards, and through its payment of facilities
fees will contribute to the cost of a sanitary sewer force
main to be constructed from Redwood Shores Parkway to the
treatment plant serving the area of development.
(11 ) Gas and Electric. The gas and electric impacts
shall be reduced to an acceptable level by incorporating the
same mitigation measures as are required for energy impacts.
(12) Archaeology. At the present time, there are no
archaeological impacts as there is no significant
prehistoric or historic resource identified on the Project
site; however, in the unlikely event a cultural deposit is
6
"---._0.."
