<br /> DAS:sh 2/6/85 <br /> " , (d) Stations for operating any manually operated <br />fire alarm system' shall be placed immediately adjacent to <br />the telephone switchboard in the building, if there is a <br />switchboard, and at such other locations as may be required <br />by the Chief. <br /> " , (e) Automatic telephone dialing devices to transmit <br />an emergency alarm shall not be connected to any fire <br />department telephone number unless approved by the Chief. <br /> , <br /> " , (f) ~ll,residential buildings classified as Group R, <br />Division 1 or 3 occupancies, as defined in the Uniform <br />Building Code, 1985 Edition, and existing upon the effective <br />date of this section, shall have installed in each unit <br />therein an approved fire detection products-of-combustion <br />device except that devices sensitive only to heat shall not <br />be acceptable. Alarm signaling devices shall be clearly <br />audible in all bedrooms when all intervening doors are <br />closed. The building owner shall be responsible for <br />assuring that the alarm signaling devices required herein <br />shall be maintained in an operable condition. <br /> "'Section 12.13. Section 10.307.1 is hereby added to <br />the Fire Code to read as follows: <br /> "'Section 10.307.l.
