<br /> DAS:sh 2/6/85 <br />underground piping, to a City main, and which comply In all <br />respects with the requirements adopted for such systems as <br />described in the National Fire Protection Association, <br />Pamphlet No. 13, as it now exists or as it may from time to <br />time be amended.' <br /> " , (b) Approved automatic sprinkler systems of 7500 <br />square feet or more shall include a water flow detecting <br />device, and valves controlling such systems, excepting <br />underground ~ gate valves with roadway boxes, shall be <br />supervised open by a monitoring device or devices. <br />Waterflow and monitoring devices shall operate on a <br />continuous basis to provide immediate notification of any <br />activation of such systems to a central station as described <br />in the National Fire Protection Association, Pamphlet No. <br />71, as it now exists or as it may from time to time be <br />amended. ' <br /> " , (c) Notwithstanding the provisions of this Code or <br />the provisions of any other Codes of the City of Redwood <br />City, approved automatic sprinkler systems shall be' <br />installed in those buildings or structures: <br /> " , (1) The total floor area of which is 7,500 <br /> square feet or more; <br /> " , (2) Which are 50 feet or more in height as that <br /> term is defined in Section 409 of the Uniform Building <br /> Code, 1985 Edition; or <br /> " , (3) Which are four (4 ) stories or more <br /> irrespective of height. <br /> 6 <br /> ------......,., <br />
