11/5/81R <br />property or endanger any person. <br />"'(d) Applications for permits for supervised public displays <br />of fireworks shall be made in writing and filed with the Chief <br />at least ten (10) days in advance of the proposed date of the <br />display. After such privilege shall have been granted, possession, <br />storage, use, distribution and explosion of fireworks for such <br />display shall be lawful for that purpose only. No permit granted <br />hereunder shall be transferable. <br />"'(e) The person applying for a permit for a supervised public <br />display of fireworks shall, at the time of application, submit <br />for inspection the applicant's license issued by the State Fire <br />Marshal, and furnish proof of coverage of such compensation <br />insurance as is required by the State of California for any <br />employees of the applicant. The applicant shall file with the <br />Chief a bond issued by an authorized surety insurance company to <br />be approved by the City, conditioned upon the applicant's <br />payment in an amount approved by the City (and in no event <br />less than that required by State law) of all damages to persons <br />or property, including loss of life and loss of use of property, <br />which shall or may result from or,be caused by the proposed <br />supervised public display of fireworks, or any negligence on <br />the part of the applicant, or the applicant's agents, servants, <br />employees, or subcontractors in the presentation thereof, or a <br />certificate evidencing the carrying of appropriate public <br />liability insurance for the benefit of the applicant and the <br />applicant's agents, servants, employees and subcontractors, as <br />evidence of ability to respond in damages in at least such <br />amount, said insurance likewise to be approved by the City. <br />"'(f) Any fireworks that remain unfired after the supervised <br />public display is concluded shall be immediately disposed of <br />-17- <br />
