<br />unfit for use within the meaning of Section 13.80, <br />hereinabove, the Health Officer may, in his discretion, <br />require it to close entirely or may restrict its use <br />and may post, or cause the owner or operator to post, <br />conspicuous warning signs announcing its closing or <br />restriction of use. <br /> "ARTICLE IV. WELLS <br /> "DIVISION 1. DEFINITIONS <br />"Section 13.85. Definitions. The following words <br />and phrases shall for the purpose of this Article, have the <br />meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section. <br />" (a) Potable Water. The term 'potable water' <br /> shall mean, for both single family dwellings <br /> and community water systems serving two (2 ) <br /> or more premises, water of a quality which <br /> meets the Regulations Relating to Domestic <br /> Water Supply Quality and Monitoring of the <br /> California Department of Health. ( Cal. Adm. <br /> Code, Title 17, §§7001 - 7025, 1974 Bulletin). <br />" (b) Adequate Water. The term 'adequate water' <br /> shall have the following meanings: <br /> (1) For vertical wells serving single <br /> family dwellings, said term shall <br /> mean a well which shall produce either: <br /> (a) 5 gallons per minute at a <br /> stabilized water level during <br /> pumping, with at least 100 <br /> gallons of pressure tank <br /> storage, or <br /> (b) 2-1/2 gallons per minute at a <br /> stabilized water level during <br /> pumping, with at least 2500 <br /> gallons of storage. <br /> (2) For horizontal wells, said term shall <br /> mean a well that produces a minimum <br /> flow of 2-1/2 gallons per minute with <br /> a minimum storage of 2500 gallons per <br /> minute or 5 gallons per minute with a <br /> pressure tank storage of 100 gallons <br /> after 30 days of observation and with <br /> due consideration of seasonal fluctuations. <br />" (c) Stabilized Water Level During Pumping.
