be approved? <br />YES L� <br />n <br />NO Q <br />CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSITION 1\10. 9 <br />Section 54 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />ttSection 54. BOARD OF EQUALIZATION: <br />The Council shall meet at its usual meeting place <br />on the third Monday in July of each year, at ten otclock <br />A.M., and sit as a Board of Equalization, and shall <br />continue in session by adjournment from day to day <br />until all returns of the Assessor have been rectified <br />and assessments equalized. The Board of Equalization <br />shall have power to hear complaints, to take testimony <br />under oath, and to correct, modify, strike out, or raise <br />any assessment, provided that notice shall first be given <br />to any one whose assessment is proposed to be raised, <br />excepting in case of a uniform increase in the assessed <br />valuation of the property of the entire city.tt <br />Said Charter Amendment Proposition No. 9 shall be submitted <br />to the electors in the form of a proposition printed on the ballot <br />at said general municipal election as follows: <br />"CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSITION NO. 9 <br />Shall Charter Amendment Proposition No. 9 <br />amending Section 54 of the Charter of the City of <br />Redwood City to provide that the Council shall sit <br />as a Board of Equalization on the third Monday of <br />July of each year, be approved? <br />YES Q <br />n <br />NO <br />- 15 - <br />
