Item No. 3 (continued) <br />Tony Pursutt,y, Coldwell Banker Real Estate, attorney for Mr. and Mrs. <br />Gagerro, spoke in opposition to both ordinances, described background of <br />property, suggested Council impose conditions if so desired, but give Mr. <br />Shehedah an opportunity to see what he can do, with option to close down the <br />premises if problems arise. <br />Councilman Bury described genesis of proposed ordinances and the need for <br />Council to be aware of potential problems and to offer remedies, to be aware <br />of history of the area, desires of the residents and how best to serve the <br />interests of the entire community. <br />Mayor Greenalch asked if anyone else wished to speak. No one else wished to <br />do so. <br />M /S: LaBerge /Stangel to close the public hearing. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote and public hearing closed at 8:55 p.m. <br />City Attorney Schricker cited Government Code 65858 establishing that <br />notification of urgency ordinance is not required. Also, an EIR is not <br />required but Council did receive in tonight's packet the negative declaration <br />(EA 10909 -9) 3000 -3100 block of Rolison Road. The 2 ordinances place the <br />subject properties in an IS Zoning district allowing time for Council <br />reflection and review. <br />Title read. M /S: Bury /Buchan <br />a.
