GEOLOGY AND SOILS <br />There is a potential for <br />liquefaction to occur at the <br />project site during a seismic <br />event. <br />GEO-1a: The recommendations of the Geotechnical <br />Investigation Report completed for the project shall be <br />incorporated into all design and engineering plans, <br />including, but not limited to, recommendations related to: <br />site stripping, demolition of existing pavements, abandon- <br />ment of utilities, removal of existing fill material, soil <br />stabilization, and installation of new pavements. <br />Furthermore, a licensed Geotechnical Engineer shall be <br />retained to review the geotechnical aspects of the design and <br />engineering plans. The Geotechnical Engineer shall be <br />allowed sufficient time to provide the project design team <br />with comments prior to the issuance of the final plans.
