<br />property interest and is revocable without cause at any time at the will of the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City, effective upon giving not less than ninety <br />(90) days' prior written notice of such revocation addressed to Permittee as <br />follows: U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric <br />Administration, National Weather Service, 21 Grace Hopper Avenue, Stop 5, <br />Monterey, CA 93943-5505, and mailed or delivered to Permittee at said address. <br /> This Permit can be terminated without cause at any time at the will of <br />Permittee, effective upon giving not less than ninety (90) days' prior written <br />notice of such termination addressed to City as follows: City Manager, City of <br />Redwood City, P. O. Box 391, Redwood City, CA 94064-0391. <br /> 4. Purpose of Permit. Automated Local Evaluation in Real Time <br /> - <br />("ALERT') systems are a means of receiving meteorological data into the San <br />Francisco Bay Area National Weather Service ("NWS") in Monterey. This data is <br />utilized by the NWS to issue weather warnings and forecasts for the County of <br />San Mateo. The NWS proposes to install and maintain an ALERT gage at the <br />Redwood City Public Works Services Department. Weather data from this <br />ALERT gage will be available to the City of Redwood City and County of San <br />Mateo. <br /> 5. Consideration. Permittee shall: <br /> a. Purchase, install, operate, and maintain the ALERT Weather <br /> Station at no cost to the City of Redwood City. <br /> b. Coordinate ALERT radio frequency usage as well as obtain <br /> and hold necessary radio frequency authorizations and <br /> licenses. Copies of said licenses shall be provided to the <br /> City of Redwood City upon City's request. <br />Grant-4 2 <br />FXS:rg <br />05/10/96 <br /> _. <br />
