Each cabinet and console (here -in -after referred to as "enclosure") shall have provision <br />for adequate ventilation the equipment. <br />2. Cables shall enter the equipment racks/cabinets in such a manner that all doors shall <br />open and close without disturbing or damaging the cables. <br />3. All distribution hardware shall be securely mounted in a manner that shall provide <br />access to the connections for testing and allow sufficient cable room for the doors to <br />open and close without disturbing the cables. <br />4. Cable enclosure configurations shall be submitted for client approval, prior to <br />assembly and installation. Assembly without sign -off of the configuration shall be <br />corrected at Contractor's expense. <br />B. Labeling: <br />1. Abbreviations may be used as long as they are the symbol(s) designated for <br />the system or equipment by accepted industry standards and each <br />abbreviation and symbol are used on the appropriate system and subsystem <br />"as -installed" drawing(s). <br />2. Cable and Wires (Hereinafter referred to as "Cable") <br />a. Contractor shall install labels on all cables at each side of all connections. <br />The labeling shall be permanent, with contrasting identification alpha or <br />numeric, identifying each cable according to the system Drawings of <br />Record. <br />b. Labels shall be installed adjacent to each mechanical connector, pull box <br />or break in the cable run. <br />c. Equipment: Amplifying, control, switching, and routing equipment inputs <br />and outputs shall be labeled in accordance with the shop drawing labels. <br />System equipment shall be permanently labeled on the face of the unit <br />corresponding to its source. Remote control equipment shall be labeled <br />according to the unit or system being controlled. <br />12.6 PRE -COMMISSIONING <br />A. Pre -Commissioning — In Contractor fabrication facility, Contractor's technician shall <br />perform all firmware updates and validate signal switching and routing, IP addressing, <br />and serial communications of all equipment with all transmitters and receivers <br />connected to the system PRIOR to the 1St load of control code. <br />1.
