NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. Amendment. Paragraph 5 of the Agreement is hereby amended to read as follows: "5. There has been established a Fair Oaks Community Center Advisory Board, which serves without financial compensation. The City and County have jointly developed bylaws setting forth the duties and responsibilities of the Board and rules for the selection of its officers and for the conduct of its meetings. The Board shall consist of seven (7) members. The members shall be appointed for four (4) year terms expiring on May 31 of the fourth year; provided, however, that appointments to the Board shall be made such that terms shall expire in even-numbered years.. Notwithstanding the foregoing, from and after the effective date of the amendment to this Paragraph 5 providing for four-year terms of office, the terms of office for members of the Board which would have expired April 30, 1997, but for said amendment, shall be extended to May 31, 1998, and the terms of office of members of the Board which would have expired April 30, 1998, but for said amendment, shall be extended to May 31, 2000. Thereafter, succeeding appointments shall be made for the aforesaid four-year terms. A member of the Board shall serve until his or her successor is appointed.
