3. Consultant shall review and investigate entitlement and easements based on <br />publically accessible assessor's parcel maps and not title reports or deeds. <br />4. If existing utilities are in question after the field survey, the consultant may, <br />with approval from the City, contract with a potholing company to confirm the <br />location and depth of the utilities. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Electronic (PDF and AutoCAD) copies of the topographic base mapping shall <br />be submitted by the Consultant <br />TASK 3—BASIS OF DESIGN TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM <br />This technical memorandum will be used as the basis of design for the Final <br />Design. The tasks include, but are not limited to the following: <br />1. Consultant shall prepare for review by City, the Basis of Design Technical <br />Memorandum that documents existing conditions, project objectives, evaluates <br />alternatives, and recommends a preferred approach. <br />2. Consultant shall perform hydraulic analyses and provide recommendations on <br />the submersible pumps for the pump stations. <br />3. Consultant shall document field investigations of the pump stations and <br />determine constructability issues and utility clearances. <br />4. Consultant shall develop plan view of the proposed pump stations for discussion. <br />5. Consultant shall determine all permits required for the pump station <br />reconstruction and pipelines. Obtain permit requirement information and include <br />in the submittal. <br />6. Consultant shall establish design criteria. <br />7. Consultant shall determine approach for powering equipment (normal and <br />emergency power). Diesel generator sized to power both pumps will be <br />identified. <br />8. Consultant shall prepare probable engineer's cost estimates for each option for <br />review. <br />9. Consultant shall identify any permitting agencies, if any (i.e. PG&E, BAAQMD, <br />etc.), and its submittal requirements to successfully procure the permit. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Six (6) hard copies of the Project Development Technical Memorandum plus <br />PDF shall be submitted by the Consultant <br />• Electronic (PDF and AutoCAD) copies of the base map shall be submitted by <br />the Consultant <br />• Cover sheets and drawing indices with Civil, mechanical, structural, building, <br />electrical, and controls plans; list of technical specifications; Engineer's opinion of <br />probable cost shall be submitted by the Consultant <br />• One meeting shall be scheduled with City staff after review of the Basis of <br />Design Report prior to proceeding with the 75% Design Submittal. <br />ATTY/AGR/2017.149/HYDROSCIENCE ENGINEERS, INC. <br />REV: 06-30-17 PR <br />Page 13 of 20 <br />
