<br />ETo Limited \Vater Allocation Program <br />15) Credit adjustments will be "automated" by creating an exceptions file sent <br /> to Cash Collections from General Services Staff with all relevant data, <br />Work Plan <br />Software Customization <br />Task 1 Determine and define changes required to allow VýAP to operate in the General <br />Services Department work environment. Ensure there is a good match bet\veen Staff <br />needs and program features. <br />Task 2 Code software changes <br />Implement the following changes in \V AP software code: <br />2.1) Historic consumption screen - Provide screen with prior consumption data <br /> available for comparison with each customer's calculated allocation. <br />2.2) Credit adjustments - Credits due customers as a result of allocation changes <br /> (and other transactions) will be automatically uploaded (to Cash <br /> Collections) in an appropriate format for inclusion in billings. <br />2.3) Sewer charges - Provide for storage of pertinent data, fixed fees and <br /> calculation of variable component for sanitation charges (based on winter <br /> consumption minimum and fixed between lower and upper limits). Task <br /> includes review of se\\'er charge ordinance. <br />2.4) Time limited special uses - AllO\v' creation of increased allocations for <br /> specified periods and purposes. Special uses would require separate <br /> customer notification of specific changes. <br />2.5) Integrate irrigation uses - Determine irrigation allocations based on billing <br /> date within a billing period. Irrigation allocations \vill be fixed based on <br /> "normal" year plant demands. Subtotaling the allocations for each Billing <br /> Period requires adjustment according to the billing date (i.e., for customers <br /> with meters read early in the cycle most of the consumption is in the prior <br /> calendar billing period; for those billed later in the cycle, their landscape <br /> use increasingly corresponds to the true calendar billing period). <br />Task 3 Communications link with mainframe - Determine interface requirements for <br />data transfers from \VAP to "mainframe" and vice versa. Design reliable <br />communications link with mainframe via modem or network. <br />Task 4 Create mainframe data interchange - Assist City ìvfIS staff in developing <br />soft\\lare to allow downloads of customer information to \VAP and uploads of customer <br />allocations from W AP. <br />Redwood City - 3 - General Services Department <br /> ..--~-"'--. <br />
