Traffic Studies <br />Approved Traffic Operations Analysis Report (TOAR) from the PA&ED phase will be <br />used as reference and no additional traffic count and analysis is included in the scope of <br />work for the permanent features/project. <br />Additional traffic counts and analysis is required for the temporary detours and lane <br />closure charts; up to six intersections are included in the scope. <br />Geotechnical <br />• No Fault Study or fault trenching is required. <br />• No seismic retrofit analysis required. <br />• Caltrans will provide encroachment permits and waive all fees for field work within State <br />right-of-way. Access permits to private properties will also be provided by the City. <br />• Analytical testing to characterize investigation derived waste (IDW) is included with this <br />cost proposal. If test results indicate the IDW cannot be disposed of at a nearby Class 2 <br />landfill, then further testing beyond the scope of work for this project may be required. <br />Disposal of IDW characterized as hazardous is also beyond the scope of work. <br />• Geotechnical work within hazardous levels of contamination is beyond the scope of work <br />for this Project. <br />• Night drilling between 10 PM and 5 AM required for all borings. Construction Zone <br />Enhanced Enforcement Program (COZEEP) is not required or included. <br />• Caltrans existing pavement condition survey is available. <br />• Evaluation of existing pavement condition is not required; overlay design not required. <br />• Instrumentation (i.e. inclinometers and piezometers) is not included. <br />• No subsurface data required for detention basin. <br />• The maximum number of items required in the Foundation Reports includes: <br />o Retrieve, compile and describe existing subsurface data <br />o Discuss geology <br />0 Develop site specific ARS curve(s) applicable to all structures <br />0 Existing footing / pile capacities <br />o Preconsolidation / preloading requirements for new embanlanents <br />o Recommendations on liquefaction (if applicable) <br />0 Soil corrosiveness <br />o Recommendations on type of new foundation system with embedment <br />depths <br />Hazardous Materials <br />• Caltrans will sign off on any hazardous waste manifests for off-site soil disposal. <br />• Right of Way Hazardous Test Reports is not required City land transfer to State, or State <br />land transfer to City. <br />Page 61 of 73 <br />REV: 07-18-17 PR <br />ATTY/AGR.2017.166/AECOM 101/84 PS&E <br />
