<br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES <br />2017 Redwood Shores Lagoon Aquatic Plant <br />Management and Environmental Engineering Services RFP <br />Attachment A 2 <br />c. Reporting. Prepare and submit to the City conclusions and recommendations for short-term <br />actions and long-term work plans. The following reports are due to the City, no later than <br />15 days after the due date: <br />• March 15 – Aquatic plant nuisance management strategy for the upcoming plant <br />nuisance season. <br />• Monthly – Provide to the City copies of monthly summary pesticide use report <br />submitted to San Mateo County Department of Agriculture for all herbicides / <br />pesticide used. <br />• Monthly – Compilation of daily activity reports, separate activity report for each <br />activity day, each activity (e.g. monitoring / survey, spraying, harvesting, <br />trash/cleanup, etc.), using form provided by City or equivalent. <br />• October 31 – End of season summary, indicating plant growth observations and <br />trends, assessment of control strategies, and recommendations for the coming year. <br />d. Mechanical Harvesting. Following the draft Lagoon Management Plan: Redwood Shores <br />Lagoon, July 2003 (http://www.redwoodcity.org/home/showdocument?id=1802), as <br />amended identify needs, set schedules, notify and advise the City on recommended <br />mechanical harvesting. Provide skilled staff, equipment and materials to carry out work <br />safely and pursuant to County, State and Federal laws. <br />e. Chemical Applications. Following the draft Lagoon Management Plan: Redwood Shores <br />Lagoon, July 2003 (http://www.redwoodcity.org/home/showdocument?id=1802 ), and any <br />amendments thereof with the exception of the use of the copper-based algaecides EarthTec, <br />AgriTec and Cutrine-Plus unless otherwise directed by the City, identify needs, set schedules, <br />notify and advise the City of recommended algaecide and herbicide treatments. Quickly <br />process the needed changes to amend the current Aquatic Pesticide Application Plan (APAP) <br />to include Green Clean Liquid 2.0 (only Green Clean Liquid 2.0, as no granular versions will <br />be allowed due to lack of efficacy on filamentous algae) to the approved list of algaecideds <br />available for use on Redwood Shores Lagoon and have it approved by the State and Regional <br />Water Quality Control Boards. Provide state licensed and / or certified skilled staff, <br />equipment and chemicals to carry out work applications safely and pursuant to County, State <br />and Federal laws and to be able to. Specify name(s) of the registered pesticide applicator(s) <br />that will perform chemical application activities. <br />f. Equipment. List of firm’s equipment that will be dedicated to the project for the term of the <br />agreement. A minimum of two (2) aquatic harvesters are required to be dedicated for the <br />duration of the project to assist in aquatic weed and algae removal. Explain contingency / <br />back up plan to ensure continual service to Redwood City, particularly during the high plant <br />growth period, in the event of equipment failure or maintenance. <br />g.
