Edit for Likelihood <br />A final recommended list of jobs generators will be developed and submitted to the City <br />to identify office and industrial types and specific businesses deemed likely to be most <br />interested in a new, additional, or expanded Redwood City or Redwood Shores location. <br />DEVELOP COMPREHENSIVE COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRY TARGET LIST <br />15. Combine Sales Tax Generator and Jobs Providers Lists <br />SKMG will work with the City and Chamber to combine and refine the sales tax <br />generator and jobs providers lists to identify a comprehensive listing of targeted <br />commercial and industrial sectors and representative businesses. This list will guide the <br />subsequent business survey task, by identifying specific businesses not already located in <br />Redwood City as well as commercial and industrial sectors already represented in <br />Redwood City with strong potential for growth, and greater sales tax or jobs generation <br />potential. The list will be provided to the City as a major study work product. <br />BUSINESS SURVEY AND Focus GROUP <br />16. Survey Businesses <br />A telephone survey of 300 targeted businesses will be administered by subconsuItant <br />Gene Bregman and Associates to identify the primary factors influencing their business <br />site selection criteria, existing satisfaction with the administration of the City of Redwood <br />City/local municipal government requirements, the likelihood of their expanding in or <br />relocating to Redwood City, perceived barriers to growth, and other relevant questions. <br />We anticipate designing a survey that can be administered in 10 minutes or less and that <br />would be directed to business decision-makers (see below).
