<br />11.3 ProrTIotional Appointment <br /> Promotional appointments shall be made from the first three (3) candidates on <br /> the ~ligible list who are ready and willing to accept the position offered. <br />11.4 Dur"tion of Eligible List <br /> Eligi~le lists shall continue in effect one (1) year after establishment. They may <br /> be axtended for a period not to exceed one (1) year or abolished before the <br /> I <br /> expi~ation of the yearly period by the Human Resources Director upon <br /> recommendation of the Department Head of the department to which the <br /> clas$ification or position relating to the eligible list is allocated. <br /> I <br />11.5 Ren10val from Eligible List <br /> The ¡name of any worker on an eligible list may be removed by the Human <br /> Rescj)urces Director if the eligible worker requests in writing that his/her name be <br /> remqved, if he/she fails to respond to a written offer of employment within five (5) <br /> busi~ess days next succeeding the mailing of notice, if a subsequent report of a <br /> char~cter investigation is unsatisfactory, or if he/she has been rejected for <br /> appdintment three (3) times by a Department Head. <br /> I <br />11.6 Wai,er of Employment Offer <br /> A c~ndidate may waive two (2) offers of employment without affecting his/her <br /> stan~ing on the eligible list. After the third offer of employment has been waived, <br /> the Qandidate shall be removed from the eligible list. <br /> I <br />11.7 Tim, Off for Examination <br /> Pro~otional examinations scheduled by the City during worker's regular working <br /> hourS may be taken without any loss in compensation. <br /> ARTICLE 12 - RECLASSIFICATION <br />12.1 Defipition <br /> "Re~lassification" is defined as assignment to a more appropriate class, whether <br /> newly titled or already titled, due to gradual accretion of, or substantial change in <br /> a wQrker's duties, responsibilities, authority or character of work. <br />12.2 Durirg the term of this Agreement, the City shall notify the worker concerned in <br /> case of contemplated change in job content as contained in the classification <br /> 16 <br />..
