<br /> maintain a uniform shall be entitled to an annual reimbursement of up to Five <br /> Hundred Dollars ($500.00). <br /> The payment of this reimbursement will be made upon proof of purchase. Upon <br /> mutual agreement of the Parties, workers can also purchase uniforms through a <br /> voucher system arrangement between one or more uniform vendors and the <br /> City. <br />17.2 Safety Boots <br /> 17.2.1 Workers who are required by the City to wear steel toed and/or <br /> ankle supported safety shoes/boots, or to work with asphalt as a <br /> usual and regular job duty shall receive a shoe/boot allowance of <br /> One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars ($125.00) as needed toward the <br /> cost of shoes/boots. <br /> Consumer Service Technicians shall receive Fifty Dollars ($50.00) <br /> as needed toward the cost of safety shoes/boots. Management <br /> shall determine when the allowance is needed to replace <br /> shoes/boots. <br /> 17.2.2 Following the current practice, safety boots shall be provided for <br /> tree maintenance workers who are assigned to actual tree climbing <br /> and field operations. These boots shall be checked in at the end of <br /> each work day according to procedures established by the <br /> Department Head. <br /> 17.2.3 Shoes/boots provided by the City shall be used by workers only for <br /> City work. Workers are responsible for replacing shoes/boots <br /> which are lost or which are damaged due to the worker's <br /> negligence. <br /> ARTICLE 18 - HOLIDAYS <br />18.1 Recognized Holidays <br /> 18.1.2 Recognized holidays will be as follows: <br /> New Year's Day <br /> Martin Luther King Jr. Day (observed on the third Monday in <br /> January) <br /> Washington's Birthday (observed on the third Monday in February) <br /> Memorial Day (observed on the last Monday in May) <br /> 26 <br />
