Project-generated waste is not anticipated to adversely affect landfill capacity and <br /> would have a less than significant impact on landfill services. Therefore,the proposed project would <br /> result in a less-than-significant impact with regard to waste generation. <br /> g) Comply with federal, State, and local statutes and regulations related to solid waste?(Less- <br /> Than-Significant Impact) <br /> The proposed project would be required to comply with federal, State,and local waste reduction and <br /> recycling regulations,particularly those contained in the California Integrated Waste Management <br /> Act of 1989 and Article XI of the Municipal Code,Recycling and Salvaging of Construction and <br /> Demolition Debris,which requires the diversion of a minimum of 60 percent of total generated C&D <br /> debris tonnage and 100 percent of inert material from a project from disposal in a landfill.114 <br /> In addition,as noted in Section XVLf,the amount of operational solid waste generated by the <br /> proposed project would not exceed the capacity of any the landfills that would serve the proposed <br /> project. The increase in solid waste from implementation of the proposed project could be <br /> accommodated by the existing landfills'permitted capacities and would thus constitute a less-than- <br /> significant impact.
