The work within the City parcel does not <br /> create or replace any impervious area, and therefore no C.3 requirements apply to <br /> the portion of the project within City jurisdiction. <br /> The work on the County parcel will require stormwater treatment under the C.3 <br /> guidelines, and the applicant shall comply with the County's C.3 requirements for <br /> the project based on the impervious surface created/replaced by the entire project. <br /> [COA][ENGINEERING] <br /> Fire and Safety <br /> 21. Fire Sprinkler - An approved fire sprinkler system shall be installed meeting the <br /> requirements of NFPA Standard 13. Location for fire department connections shall be <br /> to the satisfaction of the Fire Marshall. <br /> a. All valves controlling the water supply for the automatic fire sprinkler systems, <br /> pumps and water flow switches on all fire sprinkler systems shall be <br /> automatically supervised. This includes the detector check valves and back-flow <br /> prevention devices. <br /> b. Fire alarm water-flow sprinkler signals shall be transmitted to the central station <br /> and retransmitted by zone to the public safety communications center. <br /> 22. Fire Flow — The required fire flow at the minimum residual pressure of 20 psi shall <br /> be required (IFC Appendix B). The fire flow from a water supply includes both the <br /> required fire flow and the demand for the automatic fire sprinkler system. The <br /> applicant shall submit a written fire flow test request to Engineering prior to permit <br /> issuance. <br /> 23. Fire Alarm Boxes - Manual fire alarm boxes are not required throughout the building <br /> when the building is equipment throughout with an automatic fire sprinkler system <br /> and notification appliances activate upon sprinkler flow. At least one manual station <br /> shall be installed at an approved location. All initiating and indicating devices shall be <br /> electronically supervised. <br /> 24. Fire hydrants — The minimum number of fire hydrants and spacing requirements <br /> available to the building shall not be less than that listed in the International Fire <br /> Code Appendix C. <br /> 25. Key boxes — Key boxes of sufficient size shall be installed at all entrances to the <br /> building. These key boxes shall contain sufficient number of keys to allow access to <br /> all parts of the building as well as fire protection equipment and systems. <br /> 26. Fire access — Electronic security gates shall be provided with key switches to provide <br /> fire department access.
