Establishment of City Center Action Committee (301-06) Report: 8/4/88 Councilman Stangel presented the report of the Downtown Committee on the Proposed establishment of a City Center Action Committee. M /S: Stangel /Buchan to establish a City Center Action Committee as described in the report of the Downtown Committee of August 4, 1988; and that the Mayor make the appointments to the Committee which is expected to exist for one year. Nita Spangler, 970 Edgewood Road, said she would like wide participation on the Committee and urged Council to invite citizens to serve, noting particularly those who served on the recent General Plan Committee. CLARIFICATION: Mayor Greenalch stated that it is his understanding that he is to appoint representatives from the various categories listed in the report and that he will let citizens know they can ask to be appointed also.
