The following is the report of James P.•Coleman, Tax Collector,Dletrict 16; <br />TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY.. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of "The Local Improvement Act of 1901", <br />the undersigned, Tax Collector of the Town of Redwood CitY;respectfully reports to your <br />Honorable Board as follows: <br />That after proceedings duly taken and had by Your Honorable Board,and notice given,Your <br />Board did on the 10th day of April vigil ,confirm the resolution of March 6th,1911,1n and by <br />which an assessment was levied against the, real property contained in the exterior bound- <br />aries of the district described in said resolution to Pay <br />_the costa and expenses of the <br />p proposed improvements mentioned and referred to in said resolution,and which said resolu- <br />tion did designate said district benefitted by and in'which said proposed improvements were <br />to be made as "Assessment District No. 16" and that after the expiration of thirty days <br />from the passage by Your Board of said confirmatory resolution provided for in Section $ of <br />said Act -,and the entry thereof upon the minutes of your Board,and no action having been <br />commenced to contest the validity of said proceedings or the assessment levied by your Boarc <br />the Clerk of said Town of Redwood City did on the nth day of UaYflglljtransait to me as <br />I <br />such Tax Collector of said Town the map and list provided for in subdivisions 5 and re- <br />spectively of section It of said Act ,and being Exhibits Nos. 5 and 6 respectively attached <br />to the report of James V. Neuman ,civil engineer,and filed with the Clerk of said Town in <br />the matter of the proposed improvements in "Assessment District No. 16"; that thereupon I, <br />as such Tax Collector,did duly record said map and list,as required by law; that thereupon <br />1,as such Tax Collector,did fix a day, to -wit, Thursday the 221ld day of June,1911,as the last, <br />day for cash payments of said assessments ,and did also fix a day,to-wit,MondaY,the 3rd day <br />Of Ju1Y,1911,at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m.,at my office in the Town Hall of said Town of <br />Redwood City,as the daytime and place for the sale of the various parcels or subdivisions <br />Of land within said distriet,and did give notice thereof in all respects as required by law. <br />That in pursuance thereof I made the following cash collections and took and filed the <br />following installment agreements,as provided by said Aet,to-wit: The sum of $5181.10 asses: <br />d i <br />menta paid in full; the sum of $38.10 fractional cents lost on division of installments; <br />the sum of $4843.2,5 first installment of installment agreements; installment agreements in <br />'the aggregate sum of $48,432.50 of which amount the first installment in the said sum of. <br />$4843.25 has been paid,leaving due and unpaid on said installment agreements the sum of <br />$43089.25. The sum of $1218.50 assessment on property belonging to the County of San Ma- <br />teo still remaining unpaid; That the sum of $934.80 being the amount of the assessments <br />on subdivisions marked Nos 160 and 153 and 174 on the map of said district, the sum of <br />$121.85 for No. 160 and the sum of $813.95 for No. 153 and 174 was not paid and said prop- <br />erty was sold to the Town of Redwood City for the amount of the assessment on each subdi- <br />vision. That all of the -foregoing funds collected by:me have been paid to the Treasurer of <br />the Town of Redwood City. <br />Dated Redwood City, California, this 24th day Of JulY,l9ll. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />James P.
