M <br />I <br />best methods of doing all of said work proposed by said resolution,and to which Said, re- <br />port was attached and annexed the exhibits required by the provisions of "The Local im- <br />provement Act of 1901," and did file his said report with the clerk of said town, of Red- <br />wood City,and which said report and the exhibits attached thereto are now on file with <br />said clerk and are hereby referred to and expressly made a part hereof; and <br />Whereas,said board of trustees of the town of Redwood City did thereafter fully eon - <br />Sider and examine said report of said James V. Neuman,said civil engineer,and the exhibits <br />attached, thereto and on the 7th day of September. 19090 did duly and regularly ,pass and ad- <br />opt a resolution modifying the said report of said James V.,Neuman and the exhibits at- <br />tached thereto,and thereupon,and in and by'said resolution,did adopt as modified the said <br />report of said James V. Neuman,with thee;exhibits attached thereto,and in and by said reso- <br />lution did levy'an assessment upon and against the real property contained within the ex- <br />terior boundaries of the district shown and delineated upon the exhibits attached to said <br />report of said James V. Neuman,which said district is described in said resolution,and <br />which said district is therein declared to be benefitted by the proposed improvements and <br />assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, and the said assessment is,in and by said <br />resolution apportioned among and levied against the various subdivisions of real property <br />contained within the district as the same appears upon the map of said district,being <br />Exhibit No.5 attached to said report of said James V. Neuman. according to the benefits <br />which the respective subdivisions and parcels will receive from said improvements land in <br />and by said resolution said board of trustees did set forth the following: l,the rate of <br />Interest to be charged upon deferred payments; 2,the time to be allowed upon deferred <br />payments; 3, the rate of interest to be allowed upon bonds issued to cover deferred pay- <br />ments; 4, the time for which bonds issued to cover deferred payments are to run; 5 , I <br />the day and hour when and where any and all persons .may appear before said board of trus- <br />tees and show cause,if any they have why said improvements provided for in said resolu- <br />tion should not be carried out,in accordance therewith;, 6, a description of the exter- <br />for boundaries of the district declared by said board of trustees to be benefitted by the <br />proposed improvements and assessed to pay the coats and expenses thereof; and in and by <br />said resolution said board of trustees did designate the district therein described as <br />"Assessment District No. 14," (to which said resolution reference is hereby made for <br />further particulars and the same made a part hereof); and <br />i Whereas ,after the passage of the resolution last herein me.ntipned,there were con- <br />i <br />apicuously posted in three of the most public places within the municipality or town of <br />Redwood City,and also along the street frontages of all of the real property within said <br />district at not more than 100 feet in distance apart ;notices of the hearing provided for <br />In said resolution,which said notices were headed "Notice of Local Improvement," in let- <br />ters of not less than one inch in length,and in legible characters, stating the fact of <br />the passage of said resolution and briefly describing the work proposed,and referred to <br />said resolution for further particulars; said notice also stated the day and hour and <br />place for which said hearing had been fixed, to -wit Monday the 18th day of October,1909rat <br />the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m.at the regular meeting place of the board of trustees of the <br />town of Redwood CitY,at the town hall of said Redwood City; and did notify all parties <br />Interested in any real ,estate within the limits of said district then and there to show <br />cause,if any they had,why the said improvements provided by said resolution should not <br />be carried out in accordance therewith; said notices also contained a description of the <br />31 <br />31 <br />
