In case of intersecting pipes the measurement shall be made from the intersections of the center lines. -X- Back-filling. ' Care must be taken on macadam streets to Keep the mac adam'separate from the earth and in re-filling,to place the macadam on top. To accomplish this purpose all macad_, am shall be placed on one side of trench,and material other than macadam shall be placed on opposite side of trench; and upon re -filling trench macadam shall be re -placed on top, and trench thoroughly rolled. Streets and walks at the final acceptance must be left In as a good a condition as at the commencement of the work. Inspection. -XI- All work must be done under the direction of the Superintendent of Streets of the Town of Redwood City and to the satisfaction of the Board of Town Trustees of the said Town. All facilities for inspection of material and workmanship shall be furnished by the contractor to the Board of Trustees and their inspectors, Miscellaneous. -XII- Before the work will be considered complete all rubbish and unused materials due to or connected with the work must be removed,and the street left in good cQn dation. All sidewalks and other public or private property disturbed or damaged must be restored to their former condition. The nature and spirit of these specifications are to provide for the work herein erated to be fully completed in every detail for the purpose of the design,and it is here- by understood that the contractor in accepting the contract agrees to any and evrerYthing necessary for such construction notwithstanding any omission in the specifications. -XIII- Time for completion. Twelve hundred (1200) feet,more or less,of four -inch cast iron water pipe to be laid On Hancock Street in said town,pipe to be connected with water main on Mound Street.
