BEFORE the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, STATE OF CATLIFORNI!L. In the Matter of the Annexation of Certain uninhabited territory contiguous to the northeasterly limits of said Town of Redwood City. RESOLUTION AND ORDER. WHEREAS, this Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City is now convened in regular meeting, and there has been presented to and received by said Board of Trustees this day s. written petition signed by not less.than one-tenth in number of the qualified electors of said Town of Redwood City,computed upon the numbers of votes cast at the last.general municipal election held in said Town,which said petition asks that certain new uninhabited territory in -said petition and hereinafter described,be annexed•to,incorporated in,and LL made a part of said Town, and that the boundariee of said Town of Redwood City be altered accordingly, and said petition further prate that this Board direct and order that said 427 —flesalAoff '1/1d • dr^d or% dwlexafnry pntition be filed with -the cleric of said Town of Redwood Vity axed that this Board thereupon and without delay notify the. Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo of the fact of the filing of,.said petition, and that thereafter such proceedings may be had and taken to the end that said new uninhabited territory shall be annexed to,incorporated in and made a part of said Town of Redwood City,in compliance with the provisions of the ststue in such case made -and provided,which said petition set forth and ststed that the said Town of Redwood City is a municipal corporation of the sixth class,duly and regularly incorporated and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, and is situate wholly within the County of San t;ateo,State of California, and that the petitioners are residents of said Town of RedwoodCity and are qualified electors theredf and that they comprise and constitute not less than one-tenth in number of the qulaified electors of such municipal corporattantcomputed upon the number,of votes cast at the last general municipal election held kherein, and that the petition is signed by not less than one-tenth in number of the qualified electors of said municipal corporation as so computed, and that the new territory therein described is wholly uninhabited, and that all said territory therFn in described, the annexation of which is by said petition asked,is contiguous to said Town of Redwood City, and that np part of said new territory lies within any municipal corporaticn and that the said new territory Forms no part of any incorporated city or Town,but lies wholly within the County of San.Ila:teo,State of California; and which said petition further sets for and particularly describes the new territory sked to be annexed to said Town of Redwood City, and WHEREAS,said petition was duly presented to this Board of Trustees and was thereupon duly read,received and filed and duly considered by said Board of Trustees,and said petition is hereby specifically referred to and made a part of this Resolution as fully as if the same was fully set forth herein, and WHEREAS,sworn testimony was received by this Board as to the facts set forth and alleged in said petition and as to the signatures attached thereto,and oral documchtary evidence 11
