<br />The construction of concrete sidewalks and curbs and concrete and asphaltum pavement on
<br />the roadway of Webster.street between Ruin street and Washington street in front of the
<br />property owned by said Town of Redwood City and in front of the property owned by the
<br />Redwood City Grammar School District, Said work to extend to the center of the street in
<br />front of said respective properties.
<br />That the• estimate cost of said work and improvement described in Section IV above
<br />mentioned is the sum of five thousand (gip 5000) dollars.
<br />SECTION V.That the public interest and public necessity of said municipality,said Town
<br />od Redwood City, and the inhabitants thereof,demand the acquisition,construction and
<br />completion of the following municipal improvement in and for said Town,•to-wit;
<br />The construction of a concrete retaining wall on Maple street between E1 Camino Real
<br />and Franklin street along the westerly bank of creek for a distance of 130 feet northerly
<br />from E1 Camino Real for the purpose of holding up the roadway, and the paving of the portion
<br />of the roadway of Maple Street between El Camino Real and Franklin street 20 feet wide with
<br />crushed rock and asphaltic road oil, The 20 foot strip to be paved is parallel to and bast-
<br />: erly from the westerly line of Maple street distant .30 feet.

<br />ed is the sum of five thousand (4 5000)dollars,

<br />Issue, SECTION VI. That the cost;of said work and improvements and of each and every one -of
<br />said improvements is too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of
<br />said Town of Redwood City, and said improvements and each and every one of said improvements,
<br />will require an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for said improvements and for
<br />each of said improvements by the annula tax levy, and that it is the intention of the Board
<br />of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City to have and secure said improvements and each and
<br />every one of said improvements to be made,acquired,constructed and established,And said
<br />Board of Trustees does hereby determine that all necessary and proper proceedings be, and
<br />the same shall be taken and had as provided by.the laws of the State of California,for the
<br />purpose and to the end of having,acquiring, making,constructing and establishing such
<br />municipal improvements and each and every one of said improvements.
<br />Trustee Kreiss seconds the motion, and upon roll call the same was passed and adopted a'.
<br />4._regular meeting of the Board of Trsutees of the Town of Redwood City,County of San Mateo,
<br />atAte of California,held on the 7th.day of Apri1,191g,by the following vote;
