41 <br />Trustee McNulty* oilers Ordinance No.244 and moves its adoption,Trustee Llonteith seconds <br />the eiotion,I:otion Carried. <br />An Ordinance to protect the public <br />health and snfety of the Inhabitanfs <br />of the Town of Redwood City. - <br />The Board .of Trustees of the Town <br />of Redwood City do ordain as follows, <br />to -wit: <br />,Section 1. It is hereby declared un- <br />lawful for any person or persons with- <br />in thn Town of Redwood City, to sell, <br />glve• away, shoot or discharge any fire <br />;vorlcs, fire crackers, torpedaear sky <br />rockets, roman Candles, cap pistols or <br />blank cartridges. <br />Section 2. This Ordinance is passed <br />as an emergency ordinance and shall <br />take effect and be In force from and af- <br />ter its passage, the emergency which <br />requires this ordinance to go into of - <br />,feet immediately Is as follows: <br />A large portion sof ;th'el property In <br />.Redwood' City, Is covered, with dry t <br />grass, dangerous to fires and the dis- <br />charge of fireworks causes firee, and <br />fires require the use of a large quan- <br />tity, of water and the Town of Red, i <br />wood City needs to. conserve Its water i <br />supply for domestic use, therefore it <br />Is deemed •necessary for the public: <br />health and safety, that this ordinance <br />take effect hmnedlately upon its pass- <br />age and adoption:' <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall he <br />Published once in the Redwood City <br />Statfilard, a weoitiy newspaper pub- <br />lished, printed unit circulated In,saki <br />Town of Ttedwood City, <br />Introduced this 23rd day of June 11124. <br />Passed and adopted by the Board of <br />Trustees of said Town at -a regular <br />.adjourned meeting of said Board hold <br />on the 30th (lay of June 1924, by the' <br />following -vote: <br />Ayes and In fayor of the passage of. <br />the foregoing Ordinance.
