Motion oarri6d. <br />Application of the Italian Catholic Federation for a danoe•permit to be held in I.O. <br />Q.F. Hall Saturday evening Jan 28th, 1928, was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded <br />by Councilman McNulty, said permit be granted, Motion carried, <br />A communication from the Assocaated Oil Co asking permission of the Council to <br />replace the approach at the corner of El Camino Real and Broadway at their Servive Station <br />was on motion of Councilman Dearborn seconded by Councilman Thorning same be granted, <br />Motion carried, <br />Application of the Peninsula Paving Co for an extension of 60 days on the Clinton <br />Street and Fay Street contract was on motion of Councilman Dearborn seconded by Counc-. <br />ilman McNulty they be granted 120 days. Motion carried. <br />Communication from John Gill, Supt of Public School asking the Council to close <br />Duane Street Temporarily so the school children play on the street until such time that <br />can have the school grounds fixed, was on motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by <br />Councilman McNulty same be granted. Motion carried. <br />Communication from the Redwood City Exchange Club thanking the Council in the matter <br />of the purchase of the street sweeper was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Dearborn same be received and filed, Motion carried. <br />Application of A.C.Whitson of Palo Alto, for a Master Plumber's license, was on <br />motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning said application be grantod ._. <br />subject to the approval of his bond by the City Attorney. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty the City Auditor be <br />authorized to taken out a insurance policy in the amount of $5000,00 -In the Fidelity <br />and Deposit Company against forgery and alteration. Motion carried, <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning, Chief of Police, . <br />a <br />Collins salary be increased to $50,00 as City Electrician, also Con Drathman salary be <br />increased to $25,00 per month, also City Attorney Mansfield be allowed $13.75 per month,. <br />for office rent, all to.take effect January let, 1928, Mojpion carried, <br />_ On motion of Councilman McNulty, seoonded by Councilman Thorning the Redwood City <br />Chamber of Commerce be allowed $25.00 monthly dues same to commence Jan let, 1928. <br />Motion carried, <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty that we do now ad- <br />journ to January 23rd, 19289 at 7.30 P.M.
