I <br />i it <br />Redwood City September 4, 1928, 8 o'clock P:M: <br />Regular meeting of the City Council held. <br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R. <br />Stafford, G.W.MeNulty, E.M.Dearborn, Absent City Clerk, W.A.Price, <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn minutes of meeting <br />t <br />held August 20th, 1928, be dispensed with until next regular meeting. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning seconded by Councilman MoNulty, Councilman Stafford be <br />appointed Clerk pro tem. Motion carried. <br />Mr Kennedy representing the Standard oil Cc submitted plans for a gas service station. <br />at the corner of Jefferson Ave And El Camino Real was on motion of Councilman Thorning, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty the Standard Oil Cc be granted a permit to erect a station. <br />at the location asked for. Motion carried. <br />Application of the Union Oil Company to erect a gas service station at the corner oi' <br />James Street and E1 Camino Real in accordance with the Building Ordinance, was on motion <br />of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty said permit be granted the Union <br />Oil Co. Motion carried. <br />Application of Al Markgraf's Ochestra for a permit to hold a dance in Foresters Hall <br />Wednesday Sept 5, 12, 19, and 26th, 1928, also Saturday evening Sept 1, 89 15, 22, and <br />29jh, 1928, was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Counoilmam McNulty said: <br />permits be granted. Motion carried. <br />Application of the Pensilula Paving Company, for an extension of 60 days on their <br />contracts of Cooper Street, Redwood Avenue, and Clinton Street, was on motion of the <br />Council said Ippplications be granted. Motion carried. <br />Councilman McNulty offers Ordinance No, 286, (An Ordinance Adopting a Building Code, <br />Regulating the Construction, Alteration, and Repair of all Plumbing and sewer eonstruetien <br />and etc) and moves its introduction, Councilman Dearborn seconds the motion. Motion earr:ed <br />On motion of the Council Councilman McNulty, was granted permission to leave the Sta;.e. <br />Motion carried, <br />E.B.Hinmam representing the Redwood City Chamber of Commeroe asked the City Council <br />to assist them in the decorating the street doing the week of the aero week the cost to <br />in the amount of $250.00, was on the motion of the Council 6hetHeunee6mmendition Council- <br />man McNulty, Chairman of the Finance Committee the Council agree to stand half of the <br />expense. Motion carried. <br />Affidavit of Sam H. Winklebleck in the matter of Publishing notice inviting sealed <br />proposals, and affidavit of W.A.Price City Clerk in the matter of posting near the City <br />Council door foreimpr v6ihentsfuf1dan Resolution No. K. -6, and Resolution of Intention <br />No. X-7 was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn said aff- <br />iclavits be received and filed <br />I <br />
