Redwood City September 17,'1928, 8 otclock, P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the City Council held. <br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen, Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R. <br />Stafford, E.M.Dearborn, City'Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Absent, Councilman, G.W.McNulty. <br />Minutes of meetings held August 20th, and Sept 4th, 1928, was on motion of Councilmar <br />Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be dispensed with until next regular meet. <br />ing, Motion carried, <br />Recommendation of the City Planning Commission recommending the request of the Chri- <br />stian Science Church to build a church on Elwood and Brewster Streets was on motion of <br />Councilman Stafford seconded by Councilman Dearborn said request be granted..Motion carried. <br />Agreement of the Town of Redwood City and Charles E. Archibald in regards to the <br />removal of the Walh and Tht(¢I Buildings, was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded <br />by Councilman Stafford same be received and filed. Motion carried. <br />Application of the Redwood City Promotion Assn, and Bay View Lodge 109, I.O.O.F, <br />*o hold a dance, was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford <br />said permits be granted. Motion carried. <br />Communication from Frank P. Weymouth in regards to the with of Minnie and George <br />t be made fifty ('50) feet instead of thirty (30) feet, was on motion of Councilman <br />arborn seconded by Councilman Thorning same be received and filed and referred to the <br />treet Committee. Motion carried, <br />Application of Foster and Kleiser to erect one 25 foot Poster panel on lot 10, Blk <br />6, Spruce and Main Streets was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by -Councilman <br />said application be granted. Motion carried, <br />Communication from the City Clerk of Chico in regards to having the Gasoline Tax lavr <br />so the Cities will receivet..a share of the Gasoline tax was on motion of Council- <br />Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford the card accompany the communication be <br />signed.. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded,by Councilman Stafford the deeds of John <br />Rocha Lopes and Mary Rocha Lopes owners of certain property fronting upon Stafford Streej <br />in the town of Redwood City in order- to straightening Stafford Street be excepted by <br />the Conncil and the clerk be instructed to have same recordered.. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning seconded by Councilman Stafford the Mayor and Clerk <br />ie authorized by the Council to sign the excuted, deeds of John Roche Lopes. and Mary <br />Rochs Lopes, Motion carried, <br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford, the Chairmanof <br />the Utilities Committee and the City Engineer be authorized to (purchase a) lot in the <br />South Redwood district for a deep water well. Motion carried. <br />+- Moved by Councilman Stafford seconded by Councilman the City pay for a Post Office <br />s - <br />box for the Police Department. Motion carried. <br />On motion of CounciLlman Stafford seconded by Councilman Dearborn chief of Police <br />Collins be given permission to leave the state. Motion carried. <br />D <br />0 <br />
