Councilman Dearborn offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Coun- M <br />cilman ItcLTulty seconds the motion. Motion carried. <br />f <br />RESOLUTION* <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City (Town) of Redwood City that whereas, a special <br />g election was duly called and held in said City (Town) of Redwood City, at which election a <br />proposed charter for said City, as prepared by the board of fifteen freeholders duly elected <br />on the 15th day of November, 1928, which charter was filed in the office of the Clerk of said <br />City (Town) on the 7th day of February, 1929, was duly submitted to the qualified electors <br />of said City (Town) of Redwood City voting at said special election; and <br />WHEREAS, the returns from said special election have been duly canvassed by the Coun- <br />Fi oil of said City (Town) of Redwood City and the result thereof duly declared by said Council <br />r <br />and <br />fWHEREAS, it appears from the votes cast at said.special election that said proposed <br />charter so submitted to the electors of said City (Town) -as aforesaid has been approved, <br />accepted and adopted by the electors of said City (Town) of Redwood City; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City (Town) of Redwood City, and <br />said Council does hereby find, determine and declare that a majority of the electors voting <br />at said special election had voted for and ratified said charter, and that said charter has <br />1 been and is hereby adopted as the charter for said City (Town) of Redwood City, <br />AND BE LT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney of said City (Town) be and he is <br />hereby ordered and directed to take all necessary steps for the purpose of having said pro- <br />posed charter submitted to the Legislature of the State of California for their approval. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of -the City (Town) of Redwood City at a regular <br />�II ) meeting thereof held on the 15th day of April, 19299 by the following vote: <br />P <br />I Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution, Councilmen: <br />Z.T.THORNING, D.R.STAFFORD, G.W.McNULTY, E.M.DEARBORN, H.A.BEEGER. <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing Resolution, Councilmen: <br />NONE. , <br />Absent, Councilmen: NONE. <br />Attest: <br />W. Beeger. <br />Mayor of the City (Town)ot Redwood City. <br />Moved by Councilman Dearborn, seconded by.Councilman McNulty the Council delagate <br />Beeger <br />riayor/to deliver the charter and other proceedings, to Assemblyman Parkman, at Sacramento <br />�4 the City to pay his expenses, I1otion carried. <br />lOn motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty and carried the <br />al � <br />following dance permits were granted to -wit: <br />Redwood City Promotion Assn to give a dance in the Parish House Saturday evening April 27, <br />1929, until one o'clock. <br />The Italian Catholic Federation to give a dance in the Woman's Club House Saturday evening <br />April 27, 1929, until one o'clock. <br />The application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Co and which was referred to the Plan- <br />ning Commission for a permit to lay a 20 inch gas main to bring in natural gas from Bakers- <br />field, through certain streets, of this City was referred back to the Council without any <br />
