108 , Redwood City July 1, 1929. 8 of clock, P.1,1. <br />Regular meeting of the City Council held. i <br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R. <br />Stafford, G.W.McNulty9,E.11.Dearborn, City Clerk Price. <br />f <br />Absent, Councilman W.J.Dusel. <br />Minutes of meetings held on June 17th and 26th, 1929, were read and on motion pf <br />Councilman 26(ldt(bh9. seconded by Councilman McNulty Minutes of meeting held June 26th,1926 <br />be changed to read at Spring Valley Water Co's price per 1000 gallons. Motion carried. <br />as <br />E. A. Rolison whose appointment � City Manager byctheclOity Caundl-14cyris admistered <br />the oath of office by City Attorney Mansfield. <br />Comunication from the Railroad Commis.iiOn of the State of Californiainforming the <br />Council ocE a general survey off the crossing conditions of the main line of the Southern <br />Pacific Company from San Francisco to San Jose sometime in August or September, 1929, was <br />f. <br />on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty said communication be <br />referred to the City Manager. Motion carried. r <br />Moved by Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Mr E.A.Rolison be appointed <br />City Manager at a salary of 0¢00:000a;manth,;for w4800.00 per year, Motion carried. <br />Communication from Yr Geo A. Merrill regarding cow of Pair Visconti on Vera Ave, <br />was on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty same be received <br />and filed. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman McCarthy seconded by Councilman McNulty the City Attorney be <br />authorized to look into the matter of City Treasurer Myers bond. Motion carried. <br />Application of Charles H. Iviorrison for a license as Electrical Contractor in the <br />City IdfdRed*ood City, was on motion of Councilman Thorning seconded by Councilman McNulty <br />said license be granted. Motion carried. <br />A petition was presented to the City Council containing the names of 21 property f <br />owners residing on Myrtle, Nevada, Opal, Pearl, quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, and Topaz Streets <br />to initiate proceedings to improve said streets by grading and paving with 22 inchs of <br />asphaltic concrete base and if inch Warrenite wearing service laid upon a 3 inch waste <br />rock cushing, also the, construction of curb and gutter, was on motion of Councilman Mc- <br />Nulty, seconded by Councilman Stafford said petition be referred to the City Engineer and <br />City Manager. Motion carried, f <br />Moved by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Stafford the City coverage <br />all motor vehicle employees by property damages°and public liability. Motion carried. <br />Affidavits of '-W. A. Price city clerk in the matter of posting and mailing of <br />resolution number $--eight also affidavit of Lora C. Benning of the Redwood City :tribune F <br />in th-e matter of publicing notice of filing street assessments and of time fix for hear- <br />ing thereon. Was on motion of Oouncilmen Mc Nulty seconded by Councilmen Dearborn that <br />said Affidavits be received and filed.
