<br />The further hearing on the protests of the Southern Pacific Railroad Companyand
<br />the Southern Pacific Company against the videning of Minnie and George Streets unde r
<br />Resolution of Intention No. L-1 now coming on regularly before the City Council; said
<br />Council preceded to further hear aid consider said protests and after a full consideration
<br />' thereof the following Resolution was pawed and adopted, by the following vote:

<br />Moved by Councilmen McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the stogo signs recommended
<br />by the City Manager be accepted. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Stafford, the City Manager
<br />and City Treasurer be instructed to what kind of a contract with either Bank or Insurance
<br />Co. in the safe guarding of the City Securities. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the stop signals be
<br />instructed to prepare plans and specifications to make the side walks on both sides of
<br />Broadway from Winslow Street to the Railroad, and from the Railroad on Broadway to the side
<br />walks that are full width. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford and carried the
<br />following dance permits be granted to -wit: Al Markgraf at Forester's Hall Saturday evening,

<br />November 2nd, 23rd, and 30th, 1929, until one o'clock, Court Madrone No. 158 P.O.A. in
<br />Forester's Hall, Wednesdq evening, November 27th, 1929, until one o'clock, Baty View Lodge
<br />109 I.O.O.F. in I.O.O.F. Hall, November 6th, 23 d, and 30th, 1929 until one o'clock.

<br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman McJarthy, the agreement of Mr.
<br />O'Day of a parcel of land on the Sweeney Ranch for water purposes, be accepted by the
<br />Council, and the CityIolarager be instructed to enter into said agreement with Mr. O'Day.
<br />Motion carried.
