1 <br />Redwood City, December 2, 1929, 7t30 o'clock P. M. <br />Regular meeting of the City Council held. <br />155 <br />:Upon roll call there were present, Councilman Mayor H. A. Beeger, Z. T. Thorning, D. R. <br />Stafford, W. J. Dusel, G. W. McNulty, C. J. Hildebrand, P. A. McCarthy, City Clerk W. A. <br />Price. <br />Upon correction of the minutes of November 18, 1929 were on motion of Councilman Thorn- <br />ing, seconded by Councilman Hildebrand, same be approved. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman McCart:iy, seconded by Councilman Thorning, the Superintendent of <br />Streets be instructed to prepare plans for the resurfacing of Birch Street, between Brewster <br />and Hopkins Avenues, same to be by private contract, and under the supervision of the Super- <br />intendent of Streets. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the bids for the <br />construction of the garage back of the City Hall be referred to the Dity Manager and the City <br />Engineer to decide on the best bid. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Thorning offers Ordinance No. (Pound Ordinance) and moves its introuction. <br />Councilman Dusel seconds the motion. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman IaieNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning, the Pacific Gas & <br />Electric Co. be granted permit to install pole as per Blue print. Motion carried. <br />Application of the American Legion for a dance permit on Dec. 1¢, 1929, in the Forester's <br />Hall was on motion of Councilman Hildebrand, seconded by Councilman McNulty, same be granted. <br />Motion carried. <br />Communication and of Pave Cure License agreement from the Concrete Curbing Inc. was on <br />motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman MdNulty be referred to the City Manager, <br />and City Attorney. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Dusel, City Manager Rolison be <br />appointed to attend the meeting of the Bay Shore extension in San Francisco, Tuesday after- <br />noon on December 3rd, 1929. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman '"horning, seconded by Councilman Hildebrand, James L. Hall of <br />j San Francisco be w,7arded the contract for piles for yacht harbor at the following prices <br />named in his bid to -wit: 21 Creosoted Piles 30' Irlin. yips 8" 30' Min. Butts 12" at 62/ per <br />lin. ft. 21 Creosoted Piles 36' Min. yips 8".36" Min. Putts 12" at 62,E per lin. ft. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Oouncilman McCarthy, ;:ax Collector Mrs. <br />?,liramontes be instructed to make the proper aajustment of C ty waxes in the matter of the <br />j Tacoma Lumber Company and H. A. Beeger properties. Motion carried. <br />Loved by Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrand, the City pay the County <br />taxes on Lot ¢3 of the aedwood City Harbor Company. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Thorningg seconded by Councilman Hildebrand, the City Attorney <br />be authorized to draw up a quit claim deed to the General Properties Corp. for a strip of <br />land owned by the City from the creek to Railroad Ave, the city to reserve the rights of way <br />for a culvert for storm water.
